Tasting Notes:

Best described as "finesse", Chateau Musar is Cabernet Sauvignon in one of its most elegant forms.  Driven by bright red fruits such as cranberry and pomegranate, in its youth, the fruit shines center stage.  As it ages, the high, fine-grained tannins mellow out into suppleness and the secondary notes of tobacco, dusty leather, dried Mediterranean herbs, black pepper, and earth all start to open up and come into their own.  Regardless of vintage, you can't go wrong.

Chateau Musar is a wine that tends to throw a lot of sediment. If possible, it is recommended to stand the bottle upright the day before service to allow sediment to settle. Decanting a few hours before service to seperate the sediment is also encouraged.
