Product Description
Tasting Notes:
A rare mutation of the Riesling grape, Roter (red) Riesling is grown by only a handful of producers and even fewer of them export it, making this wine quite the unicorn. Technically still being a white grape (just with pink skin, like Pinot Grigio), this is formally an orange wine; aromatic and featuring captivating floral notes of hibiscus tea and bright, zesty aromas of blood orange. On the palate, slate and pomelo flavours provide a mineral and citrus depth, while savoury umami nuances provide a seldom-seen aspect of German terroir. Medium-plus acidity and medium-plus tannins create a well-structured, balanced profile, enhancing the wine's vibrant and layered character.
