Product Description
Tasting Notes:
This light-bodied, crisp, and linear wine presents a refreshing palate with notes of ripe green apple and underripe yellow pear. Undertones of slate, white flowers, and bread yeast add complexity and depth. Balanced with medium acidity, it offers a clean and invigorating finish. Pair with a variety of seafood dishes, including oysters, white fish, chicken, and pork. It also complements pasta, both creamy and with vinaigrette dressings, as well as salads. For cheese pairings, opt for soft cheeses like Munster or Port Salut, allowing the wine's nuanced flavours to shine through.
About Willems-Willems
For five generations, the Willems women have led the family business, which transitioned from a mixed farm to a dedicated wine-growing estate in 1971 when Maria Willems married Karl Willems. Sharing the same last name due to a distant ancestor the estate became Willems-Willems. Today, Maria's daughter Carolin and her husband Jürgen manage the winery, commuting from their family home in Appenhem, Rheinhessen.
